My Approach to Therapy

No two individuals are the same which means therapy is different for everyone. Therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to identify your goals and what it is you hope to accomplish and gain through therapy. I draw upon a variety of clinical frameworks to provide integrative and patient focused care and create a treatment plan that is specifically for you. Some of the frameworks I use are CBT, ACT, exposure and response prevention, mindfulness-based, motivational interviewing, solution focused, strengths-based, and hypnosis. Working together, we build upon existing strengths while developing coping skills, learning new ways to react to situations, and learning new ways to think about things. I can help guide you to increased self-esteem, improved mood, increased satisfaction with life, and an increased ability to cope with multiple stresses. Therapy can help you learn to manage the strong emotions associated with depression, anxiety, chronic illness, relationship stress, and life transitions.

Having worked in hospital/medical-based, intensive outpatient and private practice settings, I have over 2 decades of experience that enable me to provide you with the therapy experience that can help you feel emotionally strong and ready to live life fully.
